The use of “but” in English is different from Chinese. In Chinese, we usually use the sentence pattern 雖然……但是…… “suī rɑ́n……dɑ̀n shì……” to tell the contrast. In English, we only use either “but” or “although” in a sentence. However, we can use both in Chinese. |
